Ingredients
  

For the Fish:

  • 2 fillets of white fish (cod, halibut, or tilapia)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp cumin
  • Juice of 1 lime

For the Toppings:

  • 1 cup shredded cabbage (green or purple)
  • ½ cup diced tomatoes
  • ½ cup diced red onion
  • ½ cup chopped cilantro
  • ½ avocado, sliced
  • ¼ cup crumbled feta or cotija cheese (optional)
  • Lime wedges for serving

For the Sauce:

  • ½ cup Greek yogurt or sour cream
  • 1 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp lime juice
  • 1 tsp hot sauce (optional)
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For the Tortillas:

  • 6 small corn or flour tortillas

Instructions
 

  • Prepare the Fish:
    -Pat the fish fillets dry with paper towels.
    -Brush both sides with olive oil and season with salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, cumin, and lime juice.
    Grill or Pan-Sear the Fish:
    Preheat the grill to medium-high heat and lightly oil the grates.
    Grill the fish for 3-4 minutes per side, or until it flakes easily with a fork.
    Alternatively, pan-sear in a skillet over medium heat for the same duration.
    Remove from heat and let it rest for a couple of minutes before flaking into pieces.
    Prepare the Sauce:
    In a small bowl, mix Greek yogurt, mayonnaise, lime juice, hot sauce (if using), garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
    Warm the Tortillas:
    Heat tortillas on a dry skillet over medium heat for 20-30 seconds per side.
    Alternatively, wrap them in a damp paper towel and microwave for 20-30 seconds.
    Assemble the Tacos:
    Place a warm tortilla on a plate.
    Add flaked fish, then top with shredded cabbage, tomatoes, red onion, avocado, and cheese.
    Drizzle with the prepared sauce and sprinkle fresh cilantro on top.
    Serve:
    Serve immediately with lime wedges for extra zest.
